The National dendrological park "Sofiyivka" is an outstanding masterpiece of
landscape architecture of end of the 18-th — the beginning of the 19-th centuries, the monument of landscape architecture of Ukraine, included into the National Register of the National Culture Achievement, the museu>n of nature and landscape art.
In the list of 7 miracles of Ukraine„which was determined in sun»ner of 2007,
the dendrological park "Sot'iyivka" reasonable was awarded first place.
The National <0 ndrologi<;>1 park "Sol'iyivka" NAS of Ukraine is a scientific
r<>search institution of NAS ot' Ukraine and has been recognized as a scientific centre.
The m»in directions of work are plant introduction, acclimatization, biodiversity preservation, lanclscape park building.
At the same tin>e„"Sofiyivka" is a >mique, ronmntic landscape park, a hand»>ade n>onument of hu>n;u> genius. Not only one g<>aeration ot' owners has changed, though today it yields to no one in this respect, owning to the efi'orts of the workers of all historical prrio<la of th<> park. According to its maintenance and restoration works» special site»tion is p»id to preserving and recreating the original outlook of the park with preserving historical trustworthiness of its elements accordingly to archival materials and in obedience to Florence Charter.
Annually the park is visited by about 000 thousand visitors not only from
Ukraine, but all over the world. There is a fantastir. and rirh culture program for the guests ol' "Sofiyivka". First of all, there are qualified excursions which are conducted in Ukrainian, Itussian, R»glish, 0< rnmn, 1'olish and other languages.
