In June summer sets in. June is one of the most pleasant months
of the year. The days are the longest in summer as the sun rises early and sets late in the evening. The hot sun ripens the corn and the fruit. The sky is blue. The sun is bright and hot. Sometimes it is very hot. In September autumn comes. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. Autumn brings with it the harvest time. When winter comes we spend more time indoors because it is cold out of doors. Lakes and rivers are frozen. Everything around looks so beautiful covered with ice and snow. Children make snowmen and play snowballs. When the weather is fine they go skiing and skating.
