My own school doesn't dil'fer much from the rest of them in our town, but it is unique for me. It is located in a residential area and is surrounded by blocks of flats from all the sides. I think it is a good idea to locate schools this way. It makes it safe for children, first of all, it is meant for the children of the district, secondly and finally it is a walking distance fron> the children's homes.
My school is a four-storied building with a great nu>nber of classrooms in it. There is also a canteen, situated on the ground fico>', a big library with a good stock of books on the ground floor ioo; a»><><li< el roon> on the first Aoor and son>e rooms ol' the administrative boar<i.
Our gym is a place that wa»is speci;>1 n>eniioning, because of good recollections connected with it. Just here we spent nu>rh time training, playing games, competing. What I do remember is that junior pupils has their classrooms on the first floor and senior pupils on the second and third floors. All the classrooms are very n>ucb alike and I' ll describe one of them — the stu<iy of English.
It is a pleas»nt room to work in, light, airy with three big windows and a loi, of flowerpots on the window sills. Watering the flowers is a special care of our girls.
On the walls of the study there are portraits of some outstanding English people; besides there are >nany tables, charts, maps and the like. Special equipment is installed in the stndy to help the teachers intensify the process of. learning English.
When describing a classroom one can "t help >ncntioning a blackboard near which >uany generations oi' pupils went through a number of upsetting u>oments in their school life.
I n<a>rly I'orgot to mention our great hall, where we have the most wonderful time.
Many pa>ties, conferences, meeting, concerts„debates are held there and where we c<n>ld <>ntcrtain ourselves.
